The North West is a rich diverse region which produces a variety of produce. From the rich black soils at the heart of our cotton industry near Moree to the wide plains near Tullamore.
The region takes in much of the north west part of the state including Garrah and Moree in the north to Dubbo and Tullamore in the south. The region then goes west to Walgett and Nyngan and includes approximately 3700 primary producers.
Produce of the Region
Cotton, wool, lamb, beef, wheat and barley. There are many cotton gins in the north west which process cotton before exporting it overseas. Much of the wool in this region is sent to ports on the east coast to be processed overseas.
